Mayor
Jeff Jensen

Jeff Jensen moved to Afton in the summer of 2013 with his wife Tami and four of their five children, McKell, Jaron, Kyle, and Julianna. The oldest, Courtney (Hurst), moved to Afton in 2019 and teaches at Osmond Elementary. Jeff graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor’s degree in Geography. His background is in geographic information systems, spatial analytics, and cartography, and is currently employed by Silver Star Communications in that capacity. Prior to moving to Afton, Jeff was employed by an environmental consulting firm working on projects mainly throughout the west. Jeff served on the Afton Utility Board for two years and previously served six years on a planning and zoning board in another similarly sized community. Jeff and his family love the outdoors and this place they call home, Afton.

As a native of Afton, I have a great love for this town and the people who reside within. I graduated from Star Valley High School. Married Jamie and together we have continued to live in Afton raising our two children and recently have 2 grandchildren. I have been a member of the Afton Volunteer Fire Department for 27 years. My wife and I own and operate B&H Auto Repair in Afton. As a fourth generation of this community, I feel the need to be involved while continuing to enjoy the country lifestyle that Afton has to offer.
Councilman
William Wilkes

William Wilkes was elected to serve as a Councilman to the Town of Afton in January of 2019. His background is in education with an undergraduate degree in Neurobiology and a Masters in Teaching. William is currently employed by Star Valley Health and working as a Laboratory Scientist. William is an Afton native and a graduate of Star Valley High School. His beautiful wife is Karlee Wilkes, Daughter of Val and Debbie Harris of Smoot. William and his wife have two wonderful, energetic kids named Karson and Eden. William loves the outdoors and can be found on the river fishing or playing a round at Star Valley View Golf Course.

Abby Peavler Johnson was born and raised in Afton and has a deep-rooted affection for the town and it's residents. After several years away, she and her family returned to Afton in 2013 and shortly thereafter she began her career in Real Estate. Her understanding and appreciation of the greater Star Valley area and it's rich offerings are the driving force behind her community and civic involvement. She has a passion for growth, improvement and service and is dedicated to contributing to the vibrancy, strength and preservation of Afton as one of America's greatest small towns. In her free time, you'll find her gardening, soaking up the sun, exploring new places, photographing everything, or relaxing with friends and family.
